By installing or using the Arakkal Pooram application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Volunteer" or "User") and Arakkal Pooram ("Organisation", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Arakkal Pooram volunteer management application.
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are an authorised volunteer registered with the Organisation and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Eligibility and Access
Access to the App is restricted to:
- Registered volunteers, captains, and administrators of Arakkal Pooram.
- Individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
- Individuals who have been issued valid credentials (badge number and registered mobile number) by the Organisation.
The Organisation reserves the right to revoke access at any time without prior notice if these conditions are no longer met or if the Terms are violated.
3. Permitted Use
The App is provided exclusively for the internal operational use of Arakkal Pooram volunteers. Permitted uses include:
- Viewing and managing volunteer assignments and group information.
- Reporting and tracking incidents during the festival period.
- Accessing event schedules and receiving push notifications.
- Communicating operational updates within the Organisation.
4. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Share your login credentials or allow unauthorised individuals to access your account.
- Use the App for any purpose other than official volunteer coordination activities.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the App or its underlying systems.
- Submit false, misleading, or fabricated incident reports.
- Use the App to harass, defame, or harm other volunteers or members of the public.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other volunteers' data or administrative functions.
- Copy, distribute, or disclose any volunteer data obtained through the App to external parties.
5. User Responsibilities
As a registered user of the App, you are responsible for:
- Keeping your registered mobile number up to date with the Organisation.
- Reporting any suspected unauthorised access to your account immediately.
- Ensuring that incident reports submitted are accurate and made in good faith.
- Complying with all instructions issued by designated captains and administrators through the App.
- Returning your physical badge at the conclusion of the event as tracked within the App.
6. Intellectual Property
All content within the App, including but not limited to the application design, source code, text, graphics, logos, and the Arakkal Pooram name and lotus emblem, are the exclusive property of Arakkal Pooram.

No part of the App or its content may be reproduced, distributed, modified, or used in any form without the express written permission of the Organisation.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Organisation does not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities.
- Information in the App will always be accurate, complete, or up to date.
- The App will be available during all periods of the festival.
Use of the App for critical safety decisions should always be supplemented by direct communication channels.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Arakkal Pooram shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, operational disruption, or personal injury, even if the Organisation has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Termination
The Organisation may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any of the following reasons:
- Breach of these Terms.
- Conclusion of the festival period for which the volunteer is registered.
- Cessation of the volunteer programme.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
